Key ingredients

The Necessaire Body Wash contains Glycerin, Niacinamide (B3), Vitamin E, Sugar Cane Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Green Tea Extract, Marula Oil, Cacay Oil and Meadowfoam Seed Oil.

Glycerin is a gentle ingredient that softens the skin, refreshes the skin’s surface and relieves dryness.

Niacinamide is a B3 Vitamin that virtually needs no introduction. It’s a great all-rounder. Niacinamide works with other elements in the skin to strengthen a weakened surface, maintain skin health, improve skin dullness, minimise visibly enlarged pores, normalise oil production and improve the look of fine lines.

Green Tea Extract is a soothing and caring ingredient that helps with irritation, inflammation and redness. It’s also an antioxidant that protects the skin and reduces premature skin ageing. Green Tea Extract contains Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which is believed to be responsible for its many benefits. It may also improve the look of sun-damaged skin.

Marula Oil is a rich source of fatty acids for skin, such as Palmitic Acid and Stearic Acid, which are beneficial for the skin. This is a lightweight oil that moisturises and nourishes. It has been found to be anti-inflammatory and supports skin repair.

Cacay Oil is a lovely emollient ingredient that contains high levels of Vitamin E and Linoleic Acid. Vitamin E is known for its antioxidant properties while Linoleic Acid strengthens the skin barrier. Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) is an essential fatty acid that is needed for the production of ceramides, one of the skin’s main moisturising elements. Linoleic Acid is not only helpful for those with dry skin conditions, it’s also been found to benefit those with acne. It may reduce blocked pores and thereby acne.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil is considered a balancing oil. It helps prevent skin becoming too dry or too oily. It also helps moisturise the skin, making it feel soft and supple.

Great texture and scent. A little, surprisingly, goes a long way, and it’s pretty hydrating. I’m an aesthetician who is super picky … and this wash [gets] a big ‘thumbs up’. It also makes a great gift. I have bought a few for friends.
