A good balm needs to be emollient and occlusive. But getting the balance right is tricky. Too occlusive can feel ‘suffocating’.
Petroleum jelly is often recommended by derms, but it really doesn’t have the best smell, texture or feel. And besides, when the skin is compromised, it’s best to use products that have as few irritants and chemicals as possible.
This great multitasking balm can be used to help heal and protect the skin.
