Description
Avène Hydrance Rich Hydrating Cream is an intensely hydrating and nourishing moisturiser.
It uses innovative water-transporting microspheres and a complex of lipids to restore the skin barrier, improve resilience and tops up water reserves.
The complex is contained in water-transporting microspheres, allowing the actives to be gradually released, thereby ensuring long-lasting hydration.
Why Avène Hydrance Rich Hydrating Cream?
This soothing and calming cream uses innovative technology to deliver water deep into the skin.
It also creates an imperceptible aqua film to lock in the Avène Thermal Spring Water.
At the same time, the complex of lipids strengthens the skin barrier and promotes the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture.
This formulation uses unique technologies but simple ingredients to minimise the chance of skin reactions, even the most sensitive skin.
Avène Hydrance Rich Hydrating Cream ingredients
Cohederm lipid trio restores the skin’s barrier by enabling better cohesion between epidermal cells and refills the skin’s natural water reservoirs.
Glycerin is an underrated skin care ingredient. This humectant strengthens the skin natural barrier, helping restore its ability to keep irritants out and moisture in. Glycerin not only helps maintain healthy skin function, it also may play a role in wound healing.
Shea Butter is a rich, nourishing ingredient that comforts dry skin and leaves it feeling soft and satiny.
It has anti-inflammatory properties too, helping to soothe irritation and eczema. Shea Butters thick texture helps protect the skin from the elements and locks in moisture.
Beta-sitosterol is a plant-based waxy substance that’s similar to the cholesterol naturally found in the skin. It’s a repairing and strengthening ingredient with anti-inflammatory benefits. It helps alleviate dryness and irritation, and also may play a role in the production of collagen.
Triethylhexanoin is a synthetic ingredient that’s a moisturising hero. It’s both emollient and occlusive, thereby softening the skin and trapping moisture for a more hydrated skin.

Brand ethos
Avène’s story is as wonderful as its location in a picturesque village in the south of France. It all began in 1736 when a Marquis’ horse discovered the healing powers of a local spring.
The Marquis soon established thermal baths and news of the therapeutic benefits of the thermal spring water attracted patients from all around.
In 1975, Pierre Fabre Laboratories acquired the Avène thermal spa and undertook a comprehensive scientific research program to understand Avène Thermal Spring Water’s effects on sensitive skin.
But it wasn’t until 1990, though, that Avène first launched a commercial product, the now famous Avène Thermal Spring Water.
Avène has achieved ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management practices, including use of renewable energy sources.
The brand remains a leading force in sensitive skincare, staying true to its French heritage and the power of nature’s soothing waters.
Avène Hydrance Rich Hydrating Cream review
I bought this cream two weeks ago and I’m already amazed. I have very dry skin and I’ve tried a lot of creams, but this one has no comparison. It’s great. My skin is softer, less red and less tight. I recommend it.
