Description

Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets improve the appearance of new and old scars.

Use on new scars to promote the formation of normal scarring and help prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars. Or use on old scars to help flatten the look of the scar and reduce redness.

These sheets are made in France by a leading surgical products manufacturer using medical-grade silicone, making them safe for use on face and body.

Don’t risk using silicone scar sheets that may contain contaminants or may not even be silicone.

Why Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets?

Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets relieve itching, soften scars and reduce redness, while also hydrating the skin.

They provide occlusion and promote hydration, regulating skin cell communication and fibroblast activity. It’s been found that this influences the production of collagen and formation of the scar. Minimising the over-production of collagen reduces the likelihood that an unsightly scar will form.

Made by one of world’s leading medical and surgical product companies using only the highest grade and safest materials. Cerederm has carefully selected the materials used for their effectiveness and biocompatibility with the skin. This is particularly important when a product is to be applied to a wound.

The Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets are CE certified, which indicates they meet the the highest EU health, safety and environmental standards, helping ensure consumer safety.

They can be cleaned and reused multiple times.

Good to know

Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets work best when used as part of post-operative care.

They can be used after the incision is fully healed and sutures have been removed, usually 3-4 weeks post-operative. However ensure you consult with your doctor or surgeon first for instructions based on your specific surgery or wound and whether these are suitable for your use.

Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets should be applied for 12-22 hours a day and used consistently for 2-3 months to see results on new scars. When used on old scars, it takes significantly longer to see improvement.

Brand ethics

Cerederm is a brand owned by Cerecare, a specialist maker of medical, aesthetic and plastic surgery products.

The company has been operating for more than 20 years and is based in France.

Most of its products are used in the medical and surgical fields and are CE certified, ensuring the highest standards.

Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets review

These are brilliant. I was left with a scar on my body after a nasty cut. The skin was red and raised and wasn’t improving until I started to use these daily. I would apply them at night and use a healing cream during the day. It did take time, but after some months, the texture of my skin improved and the scar became barely visible.

How to use

Remove the peel-off backing from the Cerederm Silicone Scar Sheets and apply the sticky side to your clean, dry wound.

Do not apply moisturiser or other creams before applying the silicone scar sheets or they will not stick.

Leave on the skin for 12-22 hours a day.

Apply daily until the scar improves adequately, usually 2-3 months, but longer for old scars.

Ensure you clean the sheets daily with soap and warm water and allow them to dry before reapplying.

Also ensure you clean the scar area daily and apply moisturiser when you are not using the sheets.

These silicone scar sheets can be used multiple times, however you should discard them when they no longer provide adequate adhesion or become damaged,

When removing them from the scar area, ensure you only gently and slowly peel them back while holding down the skin.

Discontinue use if irritation or a rash occurs.

Warning

Do not apply to any wound that has not fully closed or is weeping.

Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Do not wear when bathing, showering or swimming.

Keep away from heat and direct sun.

Store in an appropriate clean container using the backing.
